Position Info:

• Position: Retail Store Manager
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $45.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 1202 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6E 1C1

Job Duties:

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and sales floor coverage
• Direct staff scheduling and daily task assignments for the sales team
• Handle customer requests, complaints, and product shortages
• Decide which luggage, travel accessories, greeting cards, and gift items the store carries and enforce its pricing and credit policies
• Interpret market research and consumer trends to estimate demand, expected sales volumes, and the effect of nearby competitors
• Plan promotions and marketing campaigns to draw in customers and raise sales
• Manage the store budget and review revenues and expenses regularly
• Establish staffing levels and hire for open positions through candidate interviews
• Evaluate staff performance through periodic reviews
• Approve staff hours and forward payroll records for processing

Job requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of retail sales supervisory experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
