(Some flexibility required; e.g. evenings and weekends in lieu of standard weekday hours)

 

Wage:

$25.72 per hour

Pay every 2 weeks

CPP, EI, and Income Tax deducted as required

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Home Child Care Provider to assist with daily care for 4 children (ages 0-5) in a private household. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and support children’s daily routines and activities. Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months, is required. Certification and/or relevant experience in Early Childhood Education in an asset.

Responsibilities:

Change diapers

Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Prepare infants and children for rest periods

Supervise and care for children

Tend to emotional well-being of children

 

Requirements:

At least 1 year of childcare experience

Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months

Ability to work independently in a private household

Good communication skills

Basic meal preparation skills

Reliability, patience, and good judgment

Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Language: English

 

Assets (Not Required) – These are optional qualifications that will strengthen an application but are not mandatory:

Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate

Experience supporting preschool learning or home-based educational activities

 

Work Conditions:

Work performed in employer’s private home

Must be comfortable following established household routines

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

No live-in requirement

No room & board deductions
