Job Duties:

Oversee the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems on site
Interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to plan the sequence of installation and commissioning work
Determine component and system requirements from technical drawings and specifications during the design and development process
Operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
Direct the building and testing of prototypes to confirm they meet design specifications
Evaluate power equipment and systems to confirm functionality and compliance with performance standards
Support the design, development, and testing of new electrical and electronic systems and components
Draft specifications, estimates, schedules, and technical reports for ongoing and upcoming projects
Inspect, adjust, and calibrate electronic components and instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability
Compile test results and technical documentation on completed installation, calibration, and maintenance work

Job requirements:

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in electrical technician work is required
Education: Completion of a 2-3 year college diploma in electrical engineering technology, or equivalent, is required
Language: English
