Position Info:

• Position: Baker
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $21.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 2821 Quesnel Street, Victoria, BC V8T 4K2

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation
• Up to $2,500 annual allowance (after 6 months)

Job Duties:

• Measure, mix, and prepare various types of dough, batters, and fillings following standardized recipes and custom customer specifications
• Operate commercial baking ovens to bake prepared doughs and batters to precise baking temperatures and times  
• Apply glazes, icings, and artistic decorations to finished pastries, cakes, and other baked goods 
• Safely handle and operate bakery equipment, including commercial mixers, dough dividers, proofers, and ovens
• Ensure baked products meet quality standards for freshness, taste, and appearance
• Keep baking supplies and raw materials organized and readily available for daily production
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety throughout the baking station and food preparation areas

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial baking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
