Happy Village Restaurant is seeking a dependable and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team.

Position

Kitchen Helper (Full-Time, Permanent)

Wage

$18.25 – $19.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Hours

30–40 hours per week

Schedule

Day, evening and weekend shifts available. Flexible scheduling may be required.

Start Date

January 1, 2027

Job Duties

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and utensils
• Sanitize and wash dishes, pots and pans by hand
• Package take-out food orders
• Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, equipment, cupboards and storage areas
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and recycling
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits
• Keep records of food quantities used
• Handle and store cleaning products safely
• Assist kitchen staff with general food preparation and cleaning duties

Requirements

• No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Reliable, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
